This is a non-objective piece made of several layers of wax that are bonded with a flaming torch. It is made on a cradled board that is 1.5" deep and has some paper with marks showing through the wax. A vibrant composition centers around circular forms with the phrase "FILL THE WELL" visibly embedded. Dominated by yellow and orange hues, the piece has a textured surface with splashes of blue and black, creating a sense of depth and motion. This is ready to hang without a frame. I love making art, but my day job is wildland firefighting. I fell backwards into fire management after earning a degree in Forestry.
