These little dried flower heads are commonly known as "teasels," but the scientific names is Dipsacus. The seed heads were used as natural comb for raising the nap on fabric. This watercolor is already permanently set into a frame of weathered wood with a hangar on the back. There is 1" of wood around the painting to make the final size 8x8" and about 1.5" deep.
